If you are looking for a high quality engine that is attractive, popular and reliable, you have found it!
The Red Wing Motor Company uses high quality brass and iron castings in the construction of our models.
We have excellent builders that will amaze you with their attention to detail.
Each engine is test run by the builder then shipped to our headquarters here in Lead Hill, Arkansas.
Each engine is disassembled at the factory in preparation for painting. While the engine is in pieces, it is re-inspected for quality control. We use Epoxy based paint that will stand up against oil and gasoline.
After painting, each engine is reassembled and test run for at least 2 hours. During this time we make sure that no screws or bolts have worked loose and that everything looks and feels good.
Each engine is mounted on a Red Cedar base that is cut and sawn on our own property here in Arkansas. It is covered with a urethane finish that is resistant to oil and gasoline.
A rechargeable battery in mounted inside the buzz coil. A connector is located under the lid that is used for the battery charger.
There is a miniature on/off switch located under the lid of the buzz coil.
The spark plug wire is run through a channel cut into the bottom of the cedar board. You can see in the first photo that the spark plug wire disappears into the Cedar board.
The engines in the photos have been sold, but orders will be taken and filled in the order received. Your engine will look almost exactly like what you see in the photos.
The first 4 photos are of our 1/3 scale 2.5 HP Red Wing Air Cooled engine.
The next 4 photos show our 1/4 scale 5 HP water cooled engine.
To order a completed engine, call the factory at 1-870-436-3921 and talk with Rich.
Payment can be made with a bank check or a credit card. Credit cards will be accepted only through our PayPal account. Arrangements will be made upon request.
A completed Air Cooled or Water Cooled Red Wing Engine will cost you $2400.00 plus freight.
The average weight of a crated engine is 65 pounds. Freight cost within the USA is about $75.00 including insurance.
Thanks for looking and have a nice day!
